Abstract

The objective was evaluate the effectiveness of macrociclics lactones on the control of the gastrintestinal helmintiasis of cattle in the municipal district of Santana dos Garrotes - PB. Forty eight cattles, with age being 15 and 24 months, were used. They were divided in two groups (24 SPRD and 24 Gir) and each group was divided in more four groups (M1, I2, D3 e C4). The orally dosage administered was 200 mcg/kg of body weight. To evaluate the resistance, it was used the RCOF and the larva culture. The treatment with moxidectina reduced on SPRD: 97%, 100% and 100%, on Gir: 100%; ivermectina reduced on SPRD: 99%, 69% and 2%, on Gir: 100%, 69% and 100%; doramectina reduced on SPRD: 92%, 86% and 70%, on Gir: 100%, 86% and 16%. In the larva culture, Haemonchus was the most observed and Cooperia the fewer observed after the treatments.
