Abstract

 The experiment was conducted at the Experimental Unit of Goats and Sheep (EUGS), the State University of Southwest Bahia, Campus Itapetinga-BA, to evaluate the performance of biometric lambs dreep Santa Ines receiving the basic diet of elephant grass silage different levels of inclusion of dried bark of passion fruit. We used 16 whole lambs, dreep Santa Ines, with 25 kg of weight around and kept in stalls, randomly assigned to 4 treatments 0%, 10%, 20% and 30% for inclusion of the bark of passion fruit in the elephant grass silage. After the trial period the animals were slaughtered and then the components of body weight were weighed individually. Found a linear growth was significant in the spleen, mesenteric fat and perirenal, with increasing inclusion of passion fruit peel.
