Zootechnical indexes of a producing farm of piglets

Abstract

The present study had as objective to evaluate the reproductive performance of a Producing System of Piglets. The evaluated zootechnical indexes in the study had been gotten by the PigChamp Care 1000 program of a Producing System of Piglets (PSL) localized in the region of Rio Verde – GO. 543 parturitions were evaluated, with a average of 720 pigs born a week. Was observed average of 13,3 piglets born for litter size. The parturition rate of the matrices was of 92,6%, with average of 2,46 farrowing/sow/year and 27 piglets/sow/year. The Mortality in the maternity was of 4,9%, being that the average age of the pigs weans to it was of 21,8 days with one weight average of 5,1 kg. Were evaluated the data of the PSL, could be since some parameters were in accordance with the national reality and others were above average. The rates of return to estrus, conception, born livings, stillborn, mummified, weaned pigs/sow/year were inside of the standards demanded for the integration system.
