Abstract

Currently the focus of nutrition and ruminant production and non-ruminants is based on the demand for new foods; There is a wide range of wastes in tropical countries, and the use of these is increasing, as technicians and producers seek lower costs on food. Cassava, and produced more than fifty products for human use, such as various foods, toiletries, paints, glue, among others, also provides its crop residues (leaves and stems), and their by-products or industrial waste (cone, cassava meal and starch by weight) that can be used in ruminant feed. The availability of waste is high in a country that has the highest world production of cassava and in a state that has the highest productivity in this country.
