Abstract

This study was aimed to analyze the costs of production and to evaluate the productive activity of dairy cattle to pasture at Fazenda Claro, in the municipality of Vazante-MG in the period from 01 August 2008 to July 31, 2009. From the data collected on the farm was possible to evaluate the following economic characteristics: revenue from product sales, profit, profitability, investment capacity, point of leveling, variable costs, fixed costs and total operating cost. Performing the calculations of economic evaluation concluded that the activity had a total cost of R $ 376,177.71 and revenue of R$ 386,744.05 making a total profit of R$ 10,556.34, a profit per liter of Milk R$ 0.788 and a unit profit of R $ 0.022 obtained a profitability of 2.73% and a return of 6.17%, showing that the result of the activity was positive.
