Abstract

There are many factors that negatively affect the production of both animals raised on pasture and in confinement, and the stress caused by heat, one of the most important in dairy farming. This stress is compounded when you combine high temperatures and high levels of humidity, since this condition affect heat loss through evaporative processes of thermoregulation of the animal. When stress occurs due to the occurrence of high temperatures, food intake by the animals affected, decreases as your metabolism, which negatively affects growth, reproductive efficiency, feed and milk production. Having the knowledge of loss in dairy farming due to Adverse weather conditions found in Brazil, there is the importance of recognizing the influences of climate and its dangers in productivity, mainly from European cows, which are the largest producers and also those most affected by adaptation.
