Metastasis of disseminated tumor venereum transmission of a dog in the skin: Report of case

The objective was to report a case of metastatic Transmissive Venereal Tumor in a male dog, SRD, 2 years, attended the Animal Clinic's, Teresina, PI. The animal had multiple tumors in the entire length of the body. Cytological examination, we found the presence of cells characteristic of Canine Transmissible Venereal Tumor. The treatment was based mainly on vincristine sulfate at weekly intervals. Antibiotic therapy was performed, NSAIDs, fluid and vitamins. It was concluded that treatment with antineoplastic vincristine sulfate is quite effective for tumor regression and that the aspiration cytology was sufficient for the diagnosis of TVT.
