Abstract

The production technology of birds had the basis several aspects that were carefully controlled, among them nutrition and management (environment, health and rearing systems). But in recent years has been growing demand for naturals products with different sensory characteristics, and to meet this population arise chicken production alternatives, such as the type Colonial/Grit and organic poultry. These systems seek to create animal welfare, respectingthe pace of growth of the strainand the qualitative aspects of the final product, which can reach the market with aprice three to four times higher than conventional chicken. With the growing market demand for these natural products is necessary to work with slow-growing birds adapted to grazing, provide adequate nutrition. For the appropriate nutritional and sensory characteristics desired by consumers and an authoring environment changed. This work was in order, describe alternative systems of production of broilers, reporting on the factors affecting them, in order to provide subsidies for poultry industry that intend to serve this market segment.
