Abstract

The objective of this work is to understand and understand the quality of life of animals that practice sports, and to experience the daily lives of these animals and their reality in relation to quality of life and animal welfare. In order to do this, the welfare of the animals was approached in sports practice, demystify some concepts of the rodeo and show the benefits and history of the rodeo, in this context, the definitions of the sport, the physical conditioning of the animals along with the types of treatment and training, the benefits and the harms of this radical sport were discussed, for all these aspects, when the rodeo is carried out in a fiscalized way, the animals tend not to suffer mistreatment, besides being considered athletes and to work by night only 8 seconds and to have a differential treatment of the other animals of production.
