Abstract

In order to improve gastrointestinal conditions and animal performance in the market are additives that are used in the rations to encourage the manipulation of intestinal microorganisms. Antibiotics are chemicals produced by fungi, bacteria or yeast is able to destroy or prevent the growth of pathogenic microorganisms. The organic acids are volatile fatty acids short chain. Examples are the most used, fumaric, and the citric acid. Probiotics are products consisting of live microorganisms that, once introduced into the animal organism, beneficially affect the host by improving intestinal microbial balance. Prebiotics can be defined as nondigestible food ingredients that beneficially affect the animal by stimulating the growth and activity of beneficial bacteria in the gut. The concept of symbiotic alia the provision of probiotic microorganisms with specific prebiotics that stimulate their development and activity, enhancing the effect of both products.
