Bacterium resistance in people who work in a veterinarian hospital

Bacteria can overcome the action of antibiotics and thus threaten human life by means of untreatable infections. We evaluated the presence of bacterial resistance in 23 workers from a veterinary hospital through nasal material. The strains isolated were identified and brought to the test of sensitivity to antibiotics. It was the presence of coagulase positive staphylococci in 39% of the samples, whose strains showed mixed results for resistance to antibiotics. It was the colonization of nasal strains of Staphylococcus antibiotic resistance among workers of the veterinary hospital, which is associated positively with the frequency of contact with animals.
