Abstract

An eleven-year-old female mixed breed dog was presented with signs of dyspnea and anorexia. Thoracic radiographies demonstrated a diffuse distribution of liquid and a radiopaque mass in the left lung. Transthoracic needle biopsy of the lung was performed. At postmortem examination, it was observed a lung mass with large amount of mucin and enlargement of the left lung compatible with primary tumour. Histopathological diagnosis was papillary adenocarcinoma. This case report indicates that lung neoplasia must also be included in the differential diagnosis in dogs with dyspnea.
