Abstract

The aim with this study was to review the factors that influence the testicular thermoregulation and its relation to testicular morphology and seminal quality of bulls. It can be considered that besides the scrotal circumference, testicular form and volume may, in future, be used as selection criteria, because some studies have shown that animals with elongated testicles had better sperm quality, probably due to a more efficient thermoregulation, with less change in their sperm tissue
