Abstract

The growing demand for renewable resources associated with the lower cost of animal feed raised the search for alternative products to provide rapid growth in various regions with varieties that do well in dry or humid regions of high or low rainfall. By-products of cassava has been an alternative to partially or totally replace maize without compromising animal performance.The objective of this review to describe the nutritional characteristics of cassava, as well as its modified varieties genteticamente used in animal feed.
