Abstract

The objective was to analyze the applicability of management tools in a dairy farm in the state of Acre, aiming to identify the main weaknesses and propose solutions in order to minimize zootechnical and economic losses. The data used came from a property located in the Rio Branco-AC region in May 2019 and was collected from a semi-structured form containing 549 questions. Responses were obtained through observation as well as by interview with the owner. Using the GUT matrix, the main weaknesses found, in descending order, were: high tick infestation, non-adapted high-production animals, no tuberculosis examination and no pass-through bull examination. From these results it is possible to identify the main bottlenecks and set goals for property improvement.
