Abstract

This report aims to present a case of portosystemic shunt in a two-month-old male canine. After data on anamnesis, clinical signs, clinical and complementary examination, we arrived at the diagnosis of intrahepatic portosystemic shunting. Abdominal Doppler ultrasound was essential for the diagnosis, where it was possible to visualize the presence of anomalous vessel between the hepatic artery and the portal vein. During the patient stabilization protocol for subsequent surgical correction, the animal died.
