Abstract

Staphylococcal enterotoxins (SEs) are proteins that belong to B category of biological risk agents, whose exposure in humans and pets leads to food poisoning, stimulation of T cells, immune suppression and death. The risk of exposure to SEs is associated with its ease dissemination in aerosol, food and water. Thus, due to the epidemiological impact of the accidental or intentional exposure, the development of fast and efficient diagnosis methods is very important for the treatment of poisoning by SEs.
