Abstract

The purpose of this study was to describe, through a literature review, the procedures normally adopted and more indicated when farm animals suffer burns injuries. The study was developed through a literature review of publications since 1984 involving farm and laboratory animals, and from publications in human medicine (GEISER, 1984; HANSON, 2005; VALE, 2005; BUSNARDO et al., 2009). The publications found were organized and categorized according to theme: classification of burn injuries, treatment, wound treatment, skin grafts and complications.
