Abstract

The objective of the work was to evaluate the use of salts and eugenol as mortality reducers in the transport in closed systems of tambaqui juveniles. For the determination of the best substance in the transport was appraised: cooking salt (2,0 g/L), plaster (0,3 g/L), eugenol (4 µL/L) more the treatment control. The experiment was monitored every two hours in the times powder-transports among 2 at 16 hours with intention of determining the mortality. The level of stress of the fish was evaluated through the levels of initial and final glucose. As for the best mortality reducer it was observed that as much the plaster as the salt they went more efficient for survival of the fishes.
