Prevalence and diagnosis of dental disorders in horses from the middle south of Espírito Santo

Abstract

Dental disorders are commonly found in equine cause feed change after your domestication and specie morphological dental arcade. The present paper evaluated through a visual and clinical examination the main disorders found in Espírito Santo state middle south equines. The diagnostic was made from a visual evaluation with the aid oral speculum and prior animal sedation, data obtained was transmitted to odontogram. That data was processed and placed on a table to assist understanding of disorders prevalence. The method used in the examination was good getting nothing incident during the research. The main disorders found were sharp enamel points and ulcers that sometimes are secondary to trauma caused for sharp enamel points. Thereby can resolve the disorders allowing get information which will assist the management improvement and reduce such conditions.
