Feline corneal sequestration: Case report

Corneal sequestration is a pathology established from stroma necrosis that leads to the development of diffuse or well-demarcated pigmentation, with variations between black and gold. This disease is serious and affects the eyes of felines of different ages, and early and appropriate treatment avoids complications such as pain and eye perforation. The prognosis is often favorable, but there are risks of recurrence if the treatment is not carried out properly. The objective of this article is to report a case of unilateral corneal kidnapping in a feline, a two-year-old Persian breed, which was corrected based on superficial keratectomy.
