Abstract

The objective of this review is to describe the main characteristics of three types of prolapses commonly observed in the clinical-surgical routine of small animals: prolapse of the vagina, uterus and rectum. They are conditions that can be confused with each other and depending on each situation has a different type of treatment, ranging from only manual reduction of the content to resection of the prolapsed tissue.
