Abstract

This was realized to elucidate the forms of treatment of keratoconjunctivitis sicca (KCS) in dogs with minimally invasive methods, using only topical drugs such as lachrymimetics, lacrimomimetics, mucolytics, immunosuppressants and antibacterials. Considering that KCS is a common chronic inflammatory disease which causes discomfort and eye discharge in dogs. The main purpose is to highlight the efficiency of 0.2% Tobramycin Sulfate eye drops (Trade name: Tacrolimus) to control keratoconjunctivitis sicca and thus provide a better quality of life for the animal.
