Abstract

The Gingivitis-Stomatitis-Feline Pharyngitis Complex (CGEF) is an oral inflammation that affects cats and is considered the second disease with the largest number of oral diseases in the species. Feline CGEF is a disease characterized by intense inflammation of the gums and oral mucosa, due to an exaggerated reaction of the body to the accumulation of plaque and dental calculus in periodontal disease. The average age of occurrence is eight years old and can also affect animals between 3 and 15 years old. e, this paper has the objective of report a case of Feline gingivitis-stomatitis-pharyngitis complex. The animal was seen at the Veterinary Hospital of the Federal University of Piauí, presenting a history of bloody secretion in the mouth for 30 days, hyporexia, halitosis and ulcers in the oral cavity. The therapy consisted in the control of the clinical signs presented and tooth extraction of the animal was requested.
