Trend, cycles and seasonal in prices of powdered milk and UHT milk in the retail market of the state of Pará

Pará state is one of the biggest expansions on milk production, however the main part of the milk products on this market come from other Brazilian states. The price of this products is determined by external state market. The aim of this paper is to study tendency the economical cycle and seasonal variations of whole and skim milk powder, and UHT milk using the classical temporal series model between January 2000and July 2007. There were decreasing value tendencies in three products, however the value of UHT milk decreased 32% per year. There were two cycles for whole and skim milk powder during two years. The cycle of the UHT milk happened four years. The UHT mil had lover stability of price when this product was compared with each other investigated.
