Abstract

The Enzootic bovine leukosis was first described more than 100 years in Europe. It's an RNA virus belonging to the Retroviridae family, and the viral particle spherical and covered by projections of surface glycoproteins, and did not remain viable for long outside the host organisms. It has universal impact showing regional differences as to its prevalence. Infect mainly by dairy cattle colostrum, tracheal secretions and fomites, and is not transmitted by excrements or urine. It is a disease characterized by the appearance of lymphosarcoma in the adult animal depending on genetic and environmental factors for disease severity.
