Abstract

This  study aimed to isolate and identify anaerobic bacteria present in sheep, in varying degrees of footrot, were isolated, we collected tissue from the deepest part of the hull at the lesion site and the bacteria isolated were: Dichelobacter nodosus, Fusobacterium necrophorum, Bacteroides fragilis, Prevotella melaninogenica (Bacteroides melaninogenicus), Bacteroides intermedius, Fusobacterium perfoetens and Bacteroides ovatus.
