Abstract

The objective of this study was to evaluate the characteristics morphogenic, structural and tillering in cultivars of Panicum maximum grown on the coast of Alagoas. The experiment was conducted at the Faculty of Health Sciences and University Center Cesmac,at Campus Marechal Deodoro. Were evaluated three varieties of the species P. maximum (grasses Mombasa, Tanzania and Maasai). Cultivars were planted with seeds supplied by Embrapa Gado de Corte in partnership with Semp sementes and Unipasto. The experimental data were compared by Tukey test at 5% probability, the program used for statistical was Assistat Beta version 7.6. Among the cultivars of Panicum maximum grown on the coast of Alagoas, the grass Massai was what was most adapted
