Abstract

Canine mammary tumors are a big challenge in veterinary oncology, and due its variable behavior and frustrating outcome, classics parameters can be complemented by molecular tests, mainly by immunohistochemistry, which results in a greater elucidation of the clinical framework, especially to prognosis. This paper has the aimto review prognosis factors and four immunomarkersof importance for canine mammary tumors, being these: COX-2, E-cadherin, Receivers hormonal and Ki-67.
