Visual scores in the evaluation of Nellore breed cattle at 550 days

The aim was to evaluate the visual score of 100 young bulls of Nellore breed. The study was done in farm located in the Goianésia city, Goiás state. The method of visual evaluation used was the CPMNT (Conformation, Precocity, Muscularity, Navel and Temperament).The average weight at 550 days was 317.56 Kg. The simple correlations estimates of weight at 550 days with traits of conformation, precocity, muscularity were positive and ranging from moderate to high. The visual evaluations of Nellore breed bovines at 550 days are important auxiliary tools in the evaluation process and animals selection
