Abstract

Sonographic ultra-uterine inject ultra-sonagrafiation technique is an alternative method of embryo transfer that has been used in horses with good fertility rates. The objective of this study is to highlight the efficiency of ultrasound ultra-uterine injection technique as a nonsurgical alternative method for embryo transfer in horses. The methodology used was a literature review, from research in academic sites such as GOOGLE Scholar, BIREME, SCIELO and books. The survey results pointed to relevant aspects regarding the synchronization of estrus, artificial insemination in vivo or in vitro and surgical technique of embryo transfer (intrauterine injection) by ultrassonagrafia, it concluded that IUI is another alternative method of embryo transfer with Similar pregnancy rates to the current methods and can be a valuable option for mares with transposition difficult history of the cervix during the embryo transfer procedure.
