Abstract

The mineral supplementation provides the correction of deficiencies and imbalances in the diet of cattle. With these remedies healed there is a better development of the animal and better productivity, thus generating a better cost-benefit for the breeder. Among the important factors for cattle production is the physical structure of the property that must be taken into account the size and location of the trough; The size and type of grazing area according to the number of animals; The watery areas; The deposit to store the food; The handling corral; The quarantine area and the leisure area. Already in the nutritional factor we must take into account the needs of the animals according to the category, the sex, the age, the aptitudes, and the time of the year; Providing sources of energy, protein, and mineral supplements in quantity and quality. Zootechnical and economic control is also an essential factor in determining whether, in the end, the activity is giving a profit or a loss to the producer. Looking at all these factors, one has the differential in order to be successful in production, whether meat or milk.
