Abstract

Urolithiasis is a disease process characterized by the presence of calculi or concretions in the urinary tract. Complex and multifactorial etiology, characterized by the formation of uroliths, that lodge in the urinary tract and care as they determine their obstruction, becoming known as urolithiasis. The first clinical signs in the animals with urolithiasis are related to pain. The objective of this work an update on the pathological picture of obstructive urolithiasis in sheep from addressing its history, etiology, epidemiology, pathogenesis, clinical signs, diagnosis, differential diagnosis, treatment, control and prevention.
