Abstract

Objective of this work was to evaluate the macroscopic and microscopic changes of ovaries in zebu donor cows. It was considered the reproductive tract of 62 Zebu cows (Bos taurus indicus) donors of oocytes by ovum pick method, animals from Uberaba-MG region. In the macroscopic lesions were found 75.47% of Cyst, 0.94% of lateral scar and 23.58% of fibrosis. In the histopathological evaluations were found 24.32% of cysts, 1.35% of fibroma, 39.19% of fibrosis, 1.35% of luteoma, 24.32% of ooforites, 6.76% of tecoma and 2.7% granulosa cell tumor. In conclusion, the follicular puncture continues donor cows promotes gross lesions as ovarian cysts, fibrosis and scarring side. still leads fibroma, fibrosis, luteoma, ooforites, tecoma and tumor granulosa cells seen the light microscopy. These lesions and reduce the fertility of these females can still cause health risk to individuals, so this technique should be used with caution.
