Abstract

To follow the extent of parasitism of the birds in a farm that has capacity for 70 thousand birds is very important, because  it makes possible bigger control of the production, since the "endo" and "ectoparasitas" are the greatest villainous of the decline of production of this culture. This work had the objective to pursue and to diagnosis the occurrences of the parasitisms in "caipiras" birds (Gallus gallus domesticus) of the "Linhagem Isa Label" in the city of Mossoró - RN. The experiment was composed for sexty birds, with the ratio of two birds for each cage, totalizing 30 cages. Was made fecal evaluation with the birds for endoparasitas and visual for ectoparasitas. It was verified that a good sanitary handling of the installations before receiving the animals, made then exempt of the ectoparasitas, and the reduction of the time with contact with the ground at the period of "cria until the recria", made possible that the animals arrived at the cages free of internal worms and thus remaining this way all the period of collection.
