Abstract

Hepatobiliary neoplasms in dogs and cats are not common and presents around 2,6% to 5,5% of all type of tumors, while vaginal tumors present 2,4% to 4,6% of all reproductive tract oncology routine. Due to clinical changes being unspecific, definitive diagnosis of hepatocellular carcinoma requires complementary exams, liver biopsy and histopathological evaluation. Vaginal leiomyosarcoma's diagnosis should be based on clinic history and clinical signs, herewith vaginal palpation results, cytological and pathological exams. Both diseases have favorable results depending of tumor morphology, when associated with surgical resection and no metastases are present. In this report, the patient presented hepatic neoformation identified by abdominal ultrasound and vaginal tumor incidence. Therefore, the aim of the present study is to report a case of hepatocellular carcinoma exeresis and vaginal leiomyosarcoma in a female dog attended at the Hospital de Clinicas Veterinárias, Universidade Federal de Pelotas.
