Abstract

With the increase in the number of exotic pets, the rabbits have been preferred, because they are silent, hygienic and easy. With the growth of lagomorphs as companion animals, occur the records of numbers of attendances of these animals in veterinary clinics. Despite the quiet temperament, are very susceptible to stress, so they scare easily, which favors the risk of traumatic accidents. In this context, a case of a rabbit was report, that suffered pelvic limb fracture with the aid of an intramedullary nail and rigid splint. The applied technique was efficient regarding the realignment of the fracture line.
