In the current situation in which dairy farming is found in the Amazon region, which is predominantly family farmers, low income in the activity, and still lack of studies on the subject in this type of environment, the aim of this study was to analyze the applicability of the 5W2H administrative tool how to assist in corrections and improvements in the milk production of these producers. The studies were carried out in the Southern Cone region of the state of Rondônia and had milk production as the main activity on the property. A descriptive, exploratory and quantitative research was carried out, with direct observation of the properties in loco, in addition to an interview with the owners, carrying out a thorough research in order to discover flaws and problems in milk production. After surveying the failures and problems of the assisted properties, the GUT Matrix management tool was used, followed by proposals for resolutions using the 5W2H management tool. The results pointed to the problem of low body score, related to pasture management, such as non-fertilization, wrong fertilization, either with chemical fertilizer or residues, and high infestation of ectoparasites in the herd, making it viable to use 5W2H as an auxiliary tool, as it demonstrated be easy to use, with good acceptance among the agents involved, which brought a commitment and a very satisfactory return, acting as a reference to support decisions and taking notes. It was noticed that it is possible to identify the use of management tools for the problems detected on the rural property, aiming at an orderly orientation, and also, it is expected to collaborate in the rural extension, through the generation of knowledge and techniques that proved to be efficient.
