Coloboma or eyelid agenesis is a common congenital defect in cats. Absence of eyelid segments can often exhibit severe secondary ocular disorders. The only effective treatment is surgical correction. Different surgical techniques can be used to correct palpebral coloboma in cats. Our goal is to report the repair of a palpebral coloboma in a cat, using the lip commissure transposition surgical technique. This technique consists of obtaining a mucocutaneous flap that simulates a natural eyelid, originating from the labial commissure, and transposing it to the eyelid defect. The technique was effective in repairing the eyelid defect, providing good functional results, better corneal protection and was cosmetically acceptable.
