Intervertebral Disc Extrusion in French Bulldog

. Also known as herniated disc or canine disc disease, intervertebral disc extrusion in dogs is a chronic or acute degenerative disease, very commonly found in small animal veterinary clinics, in which there is “extravasation” of the intervertebral disc, located between the vertebrae. These discopathies are divided into 3 types, known as Hansen's disease types I, II and III. This course completion work aims to report a case of intervertebral disc extrusion that occurred in a French Bulldog, from its arrival at the clinic to the patient's recovery, and its characteristics such as symptoms, diagnosis and treatment. The case was monitored during the mandatory curricular internship in Veterinary Medicine at the Focinhos e Patinhas clinic, in Curitiba in the state of Paraná.
