Abstract

The present study aimed to report the case of a canine patient, mixed breed, weighing 40kg, 13 years old and spayed, after presenting pyometritis at 9 years of age. Malignant tumors are predominant in dogs that are unspayed or spayed later in life, with the common presence of multiple nodes in any of the mammary chains, which may or may not present different histological classifications. The patient was submitted to the surgical procedure of node removal, without significant complications. The collected material sent for histopathological examination had the diagnosis of stage II papillary cystic carcinoma of the breast, ductal carcinoma in situ and infiltrative subcutaneous mast cell tumor.
