Abstract

Carcinoma is a malignant neoplasm that can be epithelial or glandular and is prone to metastasis once it comes in contact with the lymphatic system, and it can affect the lungs. This paper aims to describe a case report of an dog mixed breed affected by a nodule in the tail, where the tutor reported that it had appeared only eight months ago and the animal had become more aggressive, the veterinarian made drug treatment and after the treatment, the nodule has showed growth, an FNAC exam (fine needle aspiration cytology) was requested, which emerged with the diagnosis of carcinoma. After surgery, the histopathology confirmed papillary apocrine carcinoma, a malignant neoplasm that is extremely rare, more present in the feline species, for the treatment of choice, caudectomy surgery was performed on the patient and chemotherapy.
