Abstract

Squamous cell carcinoma (SCC) is a malignant tumor of keratinocytes, with low metastatic capacity, being considered the most common cutaneous neoplasm in white-coated dogs. The objective of the present work is to report the general aspects of SCC, diagnosis and treatment, based on a case report of a canine that underwent a digit amputation, as a result of an SCC.
