.Abstract
Nutrition and health are the foundations for a successful development of any sheep. Recently, several studies have shown the influence of nutrition on health, providing that, with improved nutrition it would be possible to have a positive response from the animal against primary or secondary infections. On the other hand, some diseases are directly related to the fail on nutrition, which can be as much due to the lack or due to the excess of some nutrients, as is the case of pregnancy toxemia. Thus, this article presents a review of pregnancy toxemia in sheep, showing the main aspects of this disease.
