The aim of this study was a literature review of reproductive cycles and covers in pigs (males and females). Since the reproductive process is one of the most important characteristics of all living things can be said is that the primary value of any domestic animal depends on its reproductive capacity. It is of paramount importance to know the management of mating in the swine and the physiological aspects involved, as well as the reproductive cycle of females and males in the importance of productivity of a farm.
