Abstract

The production of swines and chickens comes considerably growing, and both are considered activities of high polluting potential, what if it aggravates with the increase in the number of animals confined in small areas, with consequent increase of dejections and residues by vol. produced. Of this form, to find a way them adjusted for the handling dejections and or residues is the biggest challenge to reduce the costs of production and minimized of the ambient impacts. In the attempt to minimize these impacts caused for these activities, some alternatives of treatment have been developed, as the system of anaerobic biodigestão with use of biodigesters, whose process occurs with the degradation of organic material in environment with absence of free oxygen, getting itself as end item biogás and the biofertilizer. The possibility to unite with the systems of animal production concepts of the sustainable development and preservation of ecosystems is something essential. The sustentabilidade of the most varied production systems, the validations of technologies that reduce the ambient risks are actions that not only contribute for one better quality of life of the agricultural producers, but also of all a society.
