Abstract

Oral cavity neoplasms account for approximately 6–7% of all neoplasms diagnosed in dogs and cats and for 3% of all neoplasms diagnosed in cats. Although several therapeutic modalities are available for the management of oral cavity neoplasms, surgical resection remains the primary treatment strategy, particularly when adequate surgical margins can be achieved. This report describes the case of an 11-year-old semi-free-roaming female cat presenting with a malignant neoplasm in the oropharyngeal region. Following a thorough clinical evaluation, laboratory testing, and advanced diagnostic imaging, the patient was referred for palliative surgical cytoreduction of the neoplasm. No intraoperative or postoperative complications were observed, and the patient survived for four months after the procedure.
