Canine hip dysplasia (CHD) is one of the main orthopedic disorders in dogs, characterized by joint instability and the progressive development of osteoarthritis. The aim of this study was to describe the longitudinal clinical follow-up of a dog with moderate CHD treated exclusively with conservative management over a ten-year period. The protocol included weight control, multimodal analgesia, the use of nutraceuticals, physiotherapy, and acupuncture. A significant reduction in pain was observed after the initiation of treatment, with pain scores remaining close to zero throughout most of the follow-up period, as well as a low frequency of exacerbation episodes (1–2 episodes/year). The patient maintained an adequate body condition score and satisfactory functional status, without the need for prolonged use of anti-inflammatory drugs. It is concluded that multimodal conservative management may provide effective clinical control and long-term quality of life in dogs with this condition.
